When Mrs. Santos introduced this play called A Doll's House and how our class was going to blog i was a little shaky because I don't like to do all that e-mail stuff. When she gave us the information all about what we were going to do and what the play was about I got a little more interested into the play. I gave the blogging thing a chance and its not so bad after all. They're many books and stories that we read earlier in the year that can relate to A Doll's House. Some stories are A Monkey's Paw and A Raisin in the Sun.
Nora is like Walter from A Raisin in the Sun because all they care about is money and themselves. Walter wanted the money from his fathers death so he can buy the bar. Nora wants money all the time so she can buy more things but promises Torvald that she wont spend it. Instead of Nora saving the money Torvald gives her she squanders by spending it on other things.
In Act I Nora is treated badly by her husband. All Nora wants is money, money, money. When her best friend that she hasn't seen in a long time comes and shares what happen to her since they left one another. Nora is self-conscious. Nora feels bad for her friend Kristina because she doesn't have kids and that her husband died but at the same time she doesn't care because she rubs all the stuff she has in her face.
